Spread the word: A Blade Away

Mark your calendars ladies and gentlemen, for April 15th, 2011 will be the big day the first in the Fringe Killer series, A Blade Away, will be launched. This thriller marks the beginning of an exciting new series that will take the main characters (Detective Jamie Davenport and Skip Abrahm) to the fringes of society and back. The killers are unique, the situations grim, and the characters always within reach. But what makes this series different than any other thriller?

Although the main focus of the series deals with members of society outside the norm, the driving force behind the Fringe Killer series is the relationship between the two protagonists, Jamie and Skip. But even beyond the dual protagonists, the Fringe Killer duo brings even more to the fore. First and foremost, the primary character is Jamie, a strong-willed and determined female detective. Her “sidekick” Skip is an outgoing (sometimes flamboyant) gay man who tries, at all turns, to keep himself closeted within the precinct. Their relationship adds both a unique contrast to the standard fare as well as a splash of color (or off-color as one might say) to the stories.

A Blade Away kicks off the series.

A killer the likes Detectives Jamie Davenport and Skip Abrahm have never seen is on the loose and his heinous crimes are ripping apart the fabric of a celebrated fringe population. A madman who views his victims with a compassion that drives him to inflict upon them “the change”, Lakme is unaware of his brutality and the tragedy his brutal “surgery” leaves behind. Only Jamie and Skip can save the innocent victims that refuse to hide themselves from society and the killer who vows to save them from a life of shame and misery.
