Day twenty marked the first day in the Suicide Station campaign that I was off the Hot & Trending list for the full 24 hours. That’s okay…I knew it would happen at some point in the campaign. Seriously, you can’t sit at the cool lunch table all the time, otherwise you lose perspective and wind up with too many popped collars!
Is there such a thing?
Why yes, yes there is.
And I thought I was cool.
Week three is almost over. Today my wife mentioned that I was more distracted than usual. I’m fairly certain everyone who’s run their first Kindle Scout campaign will know my answer.
It’s Kindle Scout’s fault…I swear!
And to think, I honestly considered entering my next book, Lament, into Kindle Scout.
Oh, that makes me laugh. I will do this again…but there’ll be a few months of rest in between campaigns. I need some time to recover from the onslaught of promotion.
To that, I would say: When I grow up — should that actually ever occur — I want to hire an assistant who will be in charge of my social media and promotion. Wouldn’t that be the stuff?
Why yes, yes it would.
Tweeting
I’ve been using the crap out of Buffer (mentioned it in an earlier post). If you’re not using it, I highly recommend you do. The one-two punch of that and Tweetdeck’s ability to schedule posts have made promoting with Twitter so much better. In fact, I’ve been able to schedule hourly tweets while asleep. I’ve been switching up those posts between Kindle Scout and my previously published books.
Numbers
‘Tis a sad tale when you’ve dropped off the H&T listing. So that number hasn’t rising a skoash. I did finally crack the 1.9 K page views, so I’m fairly certain my campaign will hit the 2 K mark, before it’s all said and done.
So, today I give you no fancy graphic for numbers. Besides, the only number you need at the moment is 4 (see image above).
Spread the word
Ten days left everyone. Ten. Days. Left. Keep spreading the word to help Suicide Station win that coveted Kindle Scout contract. You have all been so wonderful and I cannot thank you enough. Actually, I can. Remember, should Suicide Station win a contract, you’ll get a free ebook copy! Yay free!
If you’ve not nominated Suicide Station, head on over to the campaign page, read the sample, and (if you feel it worthy) click the Nominate Me button.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
